Better Late than Never

Well I've been well and truly told off for the lack of postings this year and its been duly noted - no excuse really just me being lazy :o)

In January my lovely old girl Lacey (Netis Brezza) reached the grand age of 15 years !!  She's still in good health at the moment and manages to go for a trot around the back field every day and even breaks into a run every now and again.  Even though she is practically blind and deaf now its amazing how she negotiates her way around and still thinks she's the boss of all the other giving them a telling off if they get too rambunctious !!

Heres a few pictures of her taken over the years.

She can still get up into a comfy seat :o)

She's still stubborn as they come and always knows when I've got a brush in my hand and does a runner so usually she looks like an unmade bed but I guess at this age she's entitled to look however she wants :o)  Of course we know that the day will come sooner rather than later that we will have to say goodbye to her but we take each day as it comes and cherish every moment xxx

We've been on several get togethers at West Wittering Beach and it was lovely to see a couple of the pups from last year and also several of the other Netis gang :o)

Hitching a lift :o)

Manny & Molly - I think they remembered each other !!

Being famous is hard work :o)

6 weeks

Pups are 6 weeks old now and they've changed so much during this last week.  Certainly more mobile and steady on their feet and can run at supersonic speed without falling over but stopping is sometimes a problem haha.

They've managed to get outside several times between the rain showers and are really loving it.  They've had a munch on their first bones and didn't need any encouragement at all !!  By far the best fun they have is trying to terrorise the other dogs which they are a dab hand at bless 'em.  Beanz has gone past the stage of playing with them as they're now bigger than her so she retreats to higher ground when they're out i.e. back of the sofa :o)  Dixie is totally oblivious to what they're doing as all she's interested in is hoovering the floor sniffing for any stray crumb of food that might be left from the pups dinner.  Fancy loves them to bits and her favourite game is laying on the sofa with her feet dangling over the edge and when the pups try to get them she bonks them on the head, just like that old funfair game when the heads pop up and you have to hit them with a rubber hammer - hilarious to watch !!  Cenzo just stands like a statue and only his eyes move because he's scared of them and Dove won't even come indoors if they're all out but is quite happy to play with just a couple of them.

Well heres a few pictures of the little darlings doing what they do best :o)

Frank xx

Just had to put on this beautiful picture of Daddy Frank being used as a comfy warm bed for his best kitty friend.  Such a wonderful testament to the gentle nature of the Spinone.  Thanks to Annie for taking this.

5 Weeks !!

Firstly sorry for the lack of updates for a while but for some reason I haven't had much time to sit down haha.  Anyway as I've said many times before 'better late than never'

Well the pups have now reached the little demon stage and think life is pretty awesome taking full advantage of their now steady legs and good vocal chords!  They love bombing around the kitchen at full pelt and terrorising the big dogs.  All the pictures I put on here below will let you see for yourself :o)

Sadly gone are the days when I can wear flip-flops as little sharp teeth digging in my toes is not the most pleasant experience I've ever had, so the heavy duty trainers are the order of the day now.  We've had lots of visitors over the last week or so and in-between times I've been trying to get all the puppy packs started and get all their bits and pieces together ready for them leaving home :o(

The pups have now been wormed for the first time which surprisingly enough they really liked and yesterday they had their first experience of the big wide world outside the kitchen.  It was such a beautiful day I thought an adventure on the patio was in order.  It usually takes pups a couple of days to be brave enough to venture outside once the door is open but this litter were totally without fear and ran straight out - I was gobsmacked!!  The first outing only lasted about 20 minutes and I felt that was enough for the first time.  Sadly today 'rain stopped play' but fingers crossed we will have a few good days soon again.

Well enough of my waffling - here are some pictures :o)

Help Dad the demons are getting me !!!

Save me!!
